Job and Volunteer Opportunities

Bainbridge Island Museum of Art is seeking to fill part-time positions in both its new Museum Store and Bistro. See links below for detailed job descriptions for both positions.

Art Museum
Store Sales Associate

The Museum Store will sell handmade items by artists and craftspersons from the Puget Sound region, as well as mission-related merchandise and museum-branded items.

This position (Store Sales Associate) reports to the Museum Store Manager, and will work directly with other senior staff to succeed in efforts related to sales, merchandising, display, inventory management, and special events. This position requires a background in retail sales, customer service, and working with staff and volunteer teams.

In addition to the above, a successful candidate will have an interest in art museums, and excellent computer skills. Ability to work flexible and variable hours (including some evenings and weekends) is required. Minimum requirements include 2 years of related experience.

Art Museum
Bistro Staff

This position (Bistro Staff) reports to the Business Manager, and works directly with other senior staff to succeed in efforts related to food service, sales, facilities rentals, special events, and programs. This position requires a background in food service, events staffing, customer service, and working with staff and volunteer teams.

In addition to the above, a successful candidate will have an interest in art museums, and computer skills. Ability to work flexible and variable hours (including some evenings and weekends) is required. Minimum requirements include 2 years of related experience, and a minimum age of 21 for shifts involving the dispensing of alcohol.
