Texas singer-songwriter Colin Gilmore brings his inimitable voice to the Frank Buxton Auditorium for an intimate night of rock and roll and Americana music. Hot off the heels of performances at Austin’s SXSW 2020 festival, Colin is a rare talent whose new EP “Brown Eyes” is a beautiful representation of the soulful and unique writing he is known for.
ABOUT COLIN GILMORE
Colin Gilmore grew up in Lubbock, Texas, spending many nights as a child in nightclubs like Stubbs, where he witnessed songwriters like Joe Ely, Terry Allen, and his own father, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, bring the stage to life. He later developed a taste for Buddy Holly, Townes Van Zandt, and bands like The Clash and The Pogues. Since his teenage years, Colin has been a front man for punk rock bands, released 3 critically acclaimed albums, wrote and selected songs for the 2017 feature film Barracuda and garnered his own fan base touring worldwide. His latest release (November 2019) is a joint EP with Nicolette Good titled Brown Eyes. Colin and Nicolette have made it a point to help pull each other’s writing in new directions and let genre take a backseat. Their band Ladder To The Moon have been invited to play SXSW 2020, and Colin has plans to keep the touring, writing and creating at full tilt.
