A Talk with Gillian Stewart

Bainbridge Island Museum of Art welcomes Scottish illustrator, printmaker and fine bookbinder Gillian Stewart for a talk in the Frank Buxton Auditorium, this Sunday, September 11, 3-4pm. Admission is free.
Gillian will share her work, her processes and discuss ideas that circulate in her world, including the role of traditional bookbinding and mentorship in contemporary artistic practice. Attendees are invited to stay after the talk for conversation and a small reception with the artist.
Gillian Stewart is a bookbinder, illustrator and all-round paper enthusiast as well as the founder of Juju Books in Glasgow. She is a prize winning QEST (Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust) Craft Scholar, a Licentiate of Designer Bookbinders UK, and Chair of the Society of Bookbinders in Scotland.
