Sound Stories: Group Exhibition of Artists’ Books
Past Exhibition
Sound Stories is a survey of Puget Sound book artists in the Cynthia Sears Artists’ Books Collection, focusing on diversity of structure and content. While regional, this selection represents much of what is happening in the field of artists’ books across the United States. Artists explore topics including human rights, history, war, the environment, play, curiosity, joy, travel, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Sound Stories features numerous arts media such as relief and letterpress printing, collage, recycled materials, fine binding, hand-lettering, hand-painting, sewing, embroidery, and digital printing. Co-Curated by Catherine Alice Michaelis and Cynthia Sears.
