Seattle artist David Lasky co-authored the graphic novel, Carter Family: Don’t Forget This Song, which won comics’ Eisner Award in 2013, and he is the colorist of the Newbury Honor Book, El Deafo. Since 2007, David has been a graphic novel instructor to a wide range of ages and skill levels.

She once heard someone say that creativity and imagination are the seeds for innovation, and uses this statement as a guiding force in their practice. As an art educator, she strives to nurture creativity and imagination. Her classes emphasize exploration, experimentation, play, observation, and various art techniques. Rodriguez’s ultimate objective is for her students to enjoy the art-making process while understanding its vital role in our socio-emotional health and development. Let’s create art together!
