Featured Artist – Zydeco Low Down
Zydeco Low Down plays Louisiana Zydeco dance music with Mark Myking on vocals/accordion, Tina Tanaka on rubboard/vocals, and a great group of musicians laying down a rock solid zydeco groove.
Mark first experienced zydeco cajun music while shipping out of the Gulf Coast as a merchant mariner. He fell in love with he music of Clifton Chenier, Boozoo Chavis, Beau Jacque and other zydeco greats. He’s made many trips down to Louisiana to listen to and Jam with Louisiana musicians. Mark and Tina have been playing Zydeco music around the northwest at venues like Hiway 99 Blues Club, Ilani Casino, Eagles and Various festivals and private parties over the last six years. Tina was with the venerable “Zydeco Locals” for many years singing and playing rubboard.
Tinas’ bluesy rich vocals along with Marks hard driving, energetic accordion playing and singing will transport you right down to the steamy Louisiana Bayou for a great Zydeco throwdown. Zydeco Low Down plays straight ahead Zydeco music perfect for dancing! We love our dancers!
So y’all grab your zydeco dance shoes and come on out for a Sunday afternoon Zydeco LaLa right here in the Northwest. Allons Danser!
