Known for his spectacular pyrotechnic displays (as in the opening fireworks of the 2008 or 2022 Olympics in Beijing), Chinese artist Cai Guo-Qiang attempts his most ambitious project yet. His story is told through his own words as well as family and friends, spanning from his childhood in Mao’s China all the way to his present day world-renowned art performances on a global scale.
