An inventor of worlds and a narrator of stories, Kathy Ross (Harstine Island) has been a favorite in BIMA’s diverse group exhibitions. Ross sculpts the “cookie-sharing, tea-packaging, grocery and thrift store worlds” of tin into serious fun. She adopts and adapts both common and quirky materials into 3-dimensional innuendos, commentaries, and jokes about our contemporary lives and realities. A circus of sorts, this solo exhibition will entertain, scare, and predict futures all at once.
